If you can't get away from the office, why not bring it with you!? Shady Oaks offers pay-per use internet access via our Wi-fi high speed internet signal which is available throughout the park.

The WiFi service is provided by Teego WiFi and it is a Pay-As-You-Go service - payment is via PayPal or credit card and all done on-line.

Shady Oaks has full modern washroom facilities with free hot showers.

Each serviced site has it’s own picnic table; fire-pit & wood are available – get those steaks & smokies grilling & marshmallows toasting!! Shady Oaks is great for relaxing around the fire & BBQ and being up at an altitude of 1249 feet, these wee flying beasties (mosquitoes!!) are not such a nuisance at night!!

Not having an R.V. or tent does not mean you have to miss out on the fun and adventure at Shady Oaks – we have four fully equipped cabins; three cabins can sleep up to six people and have baseboard heating to take the chill off in the cooler seasons. All cabins have a fridge; microwave; coffee maker with complimentary coffee and everything from a tin opener to a ‘Texas skillet’!!

Special rates for group bookings/family reunions – the large dining pavilion is ideal for gatherings –equipped with a fridge and large communal fire pit outside

Chill out & relax the in-ground heated 20 x 40 foot swimming pool – later shoot some pool & try out the shuffleboard action in the games room! Adventure awaits in the playground & ‘Fort MacLeod’ can be defended or sacked! Practice those basketball shots on the court or have a game of volleyball on the grass court. Further fun can be had with a game of boules or horseshoes ‘in the pit’ – who will be the Shady Oaks Champion??

Shady Oaks is a ‘Prairie Paradise’ – the trails that meander through the campsite reveal beautiful butterflies, day flying moths & dragonflies. Look out for red squirrels; ground squirrels and white-tailed deer!! We are on one of the main migratory routes for a multitude of bird species –the Spring & Autumn seasons being the optimum time for some prime ‘birding’. In summer you can marvel at humming birds seeking nectar from the wildflowers; woodpeckers in the oak woodland; colourful American redstarts & goldfinches to name but a few!!

Mountain biking is on your doorstep, with anything from a gentle ride out to challenging trails that meander through the rolling hills – ford slews – look out for beaver, white-tailed deer and coyotes as you go!!

We offer a large variety of Ice Creams to choose from, as well as Sundaes, Ice, Chips, Sodas and Chocolate Bars.
